Highergroud began with a simple conviction: families who choose to teach their children at home should not have to choose between closeness and rigor. They can have both.
Why we exist
Homeschooling families carry a lot alone. They research curricula at midnight, worry whether their child is on track, and wonder how a ninth-grade year will ever add up to a transcript. Many are doing excellent work with almost no backup.
Highergroud exists to be that backup. Each scholar receives a personalized learning plan, qualified teachers who review their work and adjust instruction, and a community of families nearby doing the same thing. Parents stay in charge of their child's education; we make sure it holds together from kindergarten through graduation.
Learning happens however your family works. Scholars join us fully online and virtually, or in person, and families are free to move between those formats during the year — the plan stays the same, the format flexes around it.
We are a young academy — established 2026 — and that is part of the appeal. There is room here for families who want to help shape what this community becomes.
